What are the benefits of adding a vessel into the water boosting system?

Without expansion vessel, when water taps are opened, in a water system with rigid pipes the pressure drops immediately and the pump starts; Implementing the plant with an expansion vessel, the times and the number of daily starts decrease, as well as the water hammers.
Result: A more effective system, less breakdowns, and with significant energy savings.

Adjustment of the pre-charge pressure of the expansion vessel

The correct preloading of the expansion tank is essential to guarantee the best operation of the system.

Below are the recommended calibrations:

1. Pressure system (pump + pressure switch)

2. Pressoflussstatic system (pump + presscontrol)

3. Constant pressure frequency modulation system (pump + inverter)

Pressure system where the difference between the maximum pressure and the minimum pressure is less than 2 Bar

Calibrate the pre-charge of the tanx 0.2 Bar less compared to the minimum pressure (restart pressure).

Example: with START 2 Bar - STOP 3 Bar, the correct preload is 1.8 Bar

Pressure system where the difference between the maximum pressure and the minimum pressure is more than 2 Bar

Calibrate the tank pre-charge with 65% of the total value of the maximum pressure

Example: with START 3 Bar - STOP 5 Bar, the correct preload is 3.2 Bar

Constant pressure water system with inverter

Calibrate the vessel pre-charge to 65% of the set pressure of the inverter

Example: with pressure set at 5 Bar, the correct preload is 3.2 Bar
